Each year, SGI holds an annual conference open to the public to discuss timely topics in shareholder advocacy, hear from experts in the space and present the Fr. Mike Crosby Award.

Seventh Generation Interfaith Coalition for Responsible Investment (SGI) will hold its annual conference on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.. The event will be hosted at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, located at 1937 N. Vel R. Phillips Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53212. There will also be an option to attend virtually.

This year's theme is SGI: Working in Coalition to Uphold Fiduciary Duty. 

The political landscape is constantly shifting and while the responsible investing community and partners are facing significant headwinds, including misunderstanding and misrepresentation of fiduciary duty, the materiality of systemic risks like climate change, inequality, and health disparities hasn't changed. We will hear from a panel of investors discussing the varying definitions and understandings of fiduciary duty and how we can individually and collectively continue to address material systemic risks. Following the panel discussion, there will be a facilitated workshop on how to build a coalition to achieve similar goals despite differences in fiduciary duty. SGI will also present its Fr. Mike Crosby Award.
